What Is MY VITAE?

MY VITAE is a monthly e-zine received by over 500 producers, artistic directors, and literary managers each month. For $10, each playwright receives a 30-day, 2-page listing, which includes a full-page resume and a comprehensive synopsis of one of the playwright's original works. Each synopsis is listed in the genre category of the playwright's choosing and is cross-referenced with the playwright's resume for additional exposure.

General Info and Requirements

MY VITAE is distributed to more than 500 theatres on the 15th of each month by electronic means. We have selected a mid-month distribution date to set the e-zine apart from the mass mail typically received at the beginning of the month. In the event that the 15th falls on a Sunday or a holiday, distribution will occur on the next business day.

Each listing in MY VITAE may be up to two full pages in length. For the sake of clarity, determination of length will be based on the use of an 8.5"x11" sheet of paper with one-inch margins and a 12-point Times New Roman font for all general text. Section headings will appear in a bold 16-point Times New Roman font. To avoid any possibility of bias on the basis of a playwright's appearance, photos will not be included in listings. However, should you choose to include a link to a personal Web site in your listing(s), the content of the Web site will, of course, be at your sole discretion. Each synopsis of an original work is listed in the genre category of the playwright's choosing and is cross-referenced with the playwright's resume. Genre categories include:
